I mentioned before that I'd fired up a new Twitter account to try to network with some people. That was afew weeks ago, so I thought I'd toss out an update on how things were going.

I currently have 15 followers. I don't know if I should feel good or bad about that. I'm only following 9 people, so I didn't pick up all the followers by just randomly following people. I just had two people unfollow me this evening, after two other people started following me this morning.

I still haven't figured that aspect out quite yet. Do people expect that I will follow them just because they are following me? More importantly, how in the world do people handle the flow of information if they are following hundreds of people? With only 9, I can sometimes get multiple pages of tweets in a single day. Multiply that by 10 or 30 and I would be buried.

Anyway, it's an ongoing learning experience for me so I'll probably try out a few different things. Maybe over the next week I'll follow 10-20 more people and see what happens.
