Internet Marketers Deserve Quality Software TooI'm not looking to offend anyone here, but I'm not pulling any punches either. Most of the software out there in the Internet Marketing world is crap. I haven't used every application on the market of course, but from those that I have and those I've seen demos of, the bar is awfully low for what's considered 'great'. The worst thing is that Internet Marketers have gotten so used to the poor quality that they don't even realize it. Or maybe they're in denial. Maybe they've just resigned themselves that it's the best the're going to get. It's depressingly common to see raving reviews for products that don't deserve it. I am not ok with that. My biggest goal right now is to bring high quality software to the IM business. I might even go so far as to call it a mission. I want to put an end to the tyranny of mediocre, feature-light, price-tag-heavy software that seems to dominate the whole industry. Why shouldn't marketers expect their software to be easy to use, feature-rich, bug-free, AND come at a reasonable cost? That's where I come in. What I see is a gigantic opportunity just waiting to be taken advantage of. It's not going to be filled by someone tossing a $200 contract out on Elance.com or Guru.com. It's going to take a team that knows how to build enterprise-class software. It's going to take a team that's committed to quality and service. When we release our first product in February, you'll see what I mean. We aren't just slinging around code samples we found in some tutorial. We aren't slapping together tidbits here and there until they just barely work. We aren't spending 2 hours on a product and 200 hours on the marketing. We are taking the same principles we've used for years building software for Fortune 500 companies and applying them to an industry that's in desparate need of some 'WOW' in its applications. I think it just might change the way you view software in the Internet Marketing business.
