Time Management Seems to be a Hot Topic

Yesterday wasn't the first time I found myself pondering my use of time, but it stuck in my head and I decided I needed to address it. I realized last night as I headed to bed that I'd spent a long time at my computer, ostensibly working, but didn't have a lot to show for it.

To be fair, last night was a bit exceptional on account of the elections. I was busily hitting refresh in my browser, this time on the election map instead of the usual: AdSense, Warrior Forum, ClickBank, whatever. But while last night may have been worse than usual, it's par for the course for me to realize after 3 hours at the computer I didn't accomplish a heck of a lot.

I attribute the issue primarily to a lack of focus or planning, probably both. More pointedly, a small amount of planning would lend focus to my time and hopefully lead to more productive work time.

I'm going to aim to set a couple of goals for myself before I sit down for the evening. Not necessarily anything lofty, but a concrete task that I can accomplish and check off the list. Tonight, one of those items was to make this blog post. I'm also planning to put together one of the pages for the affiliate section of our new site.

The first half of the first night is off to a smashing success of a start - I'll update again sometime to report on how it's going.
